We stumbled into the agnes b. shop in Ginza the other day attracted to the beautiful winter pieces and found out they have two exhibitions running currently.
1. A mural painting by Abdelkader Benchamma all along the 1-3F staircase of the shop, as part of the "Point to Line" series.
2. "le point d'ironie" art prints displayed around the 3F which are free for you to take home! It was a great way to learn about different artists and I've already made some into book covers and am also planning to frame the others to hang on my wall ;)
★Kaoru's favorite: ETEL ADNAN n°52
I love the colors, placements, and the warmth it has. And the piece reminds me of Henri Matisse... perhaps the brush strokes?
★Kana's favorite: RAYMOND PETTIBON & MARCEL DZAMA n°59
I like the vibrant but slightly-off-from-primary colors used in this piece, and all the unique artwork that make up this collage never gets you bored!
And some example of the other pieces...that cute girl in the 2nd row is Yoko Ono!
Let us know your favorite if you have a chance to visit! They have a small cafe on the 1st floor and a bathroom on the 3rd, so its a nice place to stop by during your shopping day in Ginza.
